Starting May 1, 2012, Google will no longer suppor mobile browsers that do not support authentication cookies for signing in to Google services. (This typically only affects older generation mobile browsers.) When users sign in with username and passwords, the mobile browser receives an authentication token, which is stored as a cookie. If your mobile browser does not support cookies, you will only be able to use Google services that do not require user logins such as Search and Maps. If your mobile device is affected, you will see an alert message.
